Optional Activities

Each of the following activities is optional and not included ln the conference registration fee.  Pre-registration is required and you must be registered to attend the conference to participate in these activities. 

Golf - Lakewood Country Club 
Wednesday, March 4, 8:00 am (first tee time)

With an abundance of sand bunkers and several par 3’s that play well over 200 yards, it was voted one of the best courses in the area. The $70 registration fee includes 18-hole greens, power carts, practice facility and warm-up range balls. The course is approximately 11 miles from the Westin Long Beach in the city of Lakewood. Transportation is not provided. 1st tee time is 8:00 a.m.  The last day to register for golf is Monday, February 17. 

Brunch, Brushstrokes and Beverages! 
Thursday, March 5, 10:30 am – 2:00 pm

The $55 registration fee includes brunch at the hotel and a fun afternoon of painting with friends at Brushstrokes and Beverages™, Long Beach’s Original Paint and Sip! A short walk from the Westin to their studio location will take you through the East Village Arts District, with plenty of shops, galleries, and restaurants along the way! Later that afternoon your paintings will be on display and entered in a contest to win a cool prize!

Port of Long Beach Tour 
Friday, March 6, 1:15 – 4:00 pm

Join us as we embark on a private 90-minute educational cruise of the second-busiest port in the nation. On the tour we’ll have the opportunity to see some of the world’s largest container ships and the towering cranes that load and unload them.  We’ll hear about the history of the port, as well as testimonials and plenty of Q and A opportunities.  Narrated by the Port of Long Beach Import Cargo Department.  The $35 fee includes transportation and chartered tour.
